Youth M.O.V.E. (Motivating Others through Voices of Experience) Jacksonville, is a youth organization dedicated to improving the services and systems that serve young people.

Youth M.O.V.E. does this by uniting the voices of youth who have experience within the mental health, foster care, juvenile justice, substance abuse and homeless systems. The youth use their familiarity with these systems to be voices and advocates for systems change.

Youth M.O.V.E. also serves as a support group for young people who are still going through these various systems. The youth within the organization range from 13-25; so, often times the older teens and young adults serve as informal mentors to the younger teens. Majority of the teens (about 60%) in Youth M.O.V.E. are between the ages of 13-16.

Since its inception, Youth M.O.V.E. Jacksonville has reached 50 teens and young adults in the community. The youth have been recruited through Wraparound Jacksonville, Exceptional Student Education Departments at Duval County Public Schools and through partnerships with agencies that serve at-risk youth.

Members of Youth M.O.V.E. Jacksonville also serve on the Board of Directors for the Jacksonville System of Care Initiative. Their voices are heard and they are given key decision-making roles on policies that impact system transformation.
